The “Equipping to ACT in the Face of Energy Challenges” Information Days
These training sessions, led by the project team from the Centre-Val de Loire Region, ADEME, Énergie Partagée, GRDF, and ENEDIS, cover topics such as energy, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and citizen involvement in their territories. They provide local stakeholders with the necessary knowledge to engage in the energy transition.
These themes are at the heart of the LIFE_LETsGO4Climate initiative, “Dare the Transition”! Training sessions will be held in each participating territory.
This information day will enable participants to:
- Better understand energy-related challenges
- Explore ways to reduce energy consumption and develop renewable energy within their roles
- Discover methods to engage residents in the energy transition
Who is it for?
- All local government employees and elected officials (municipal councilors, mayors, community councilors)
What does the training include?
Two key questions guide the sessions, using serious games, group discussions, workshops, and expert presentations : What can I do within my role to advance the energy transition? How can we engage the entire territory—residents, local governments, and businesses?
Morning session: Exploring Energy Challenges : What is the impact of oil, gas, and wind power on global consumption?Which sectors consume the most energy: transportation or housing? What does the carbon footprint of a French citizen look like?
Afternoon session: Understanding Renewable Energy : Methanization, wind power, geothermal energy—how do they work? How can I participate in the development of sustainable energy projects? What partners can be mobilized to support such projects?
The goal of these training sessions is to provide elected officials, local government employees, and associations with a better understanding of energy transition issues.
