Ephemeral Giveaway in Montlouis-Sur-Loire – Back-to-School Special
Set up in the town of Montlouis-sur-Loire (near Tours), a themed giveaway (temporary drop-off point) offers two annual events to promote the virtuous cycle of reuse and give everyday objects a second life.
The collective “Ephemeral Giveaway of Montlouis-sur-Loire” aims to revive a free exchange zone that combines solidarity and waste reduction, thanks to a budding collaboration with La P’tite Brosse, an association that promotes eco-friendly habits.
The first event will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, focusing on the “Back-to-School” theme, followed by a second event centered on “Christmas Preparations” later in the year.
Items Collected and Redistributed in June:
● School supplies: notebooks, binders, sheets, dividers, paint, etc.
● Small office supplies: rulers, set squares, compasses, staplers, etc.
● Backpacks, pencil cases, school bags
● Textbooks, dictionaries
● Lunch boxes

This collective, made up of residents of Montlouis-sur-Loire, was formed following citizen workshops from the LIFE-LETsGO4Climate project, led by the Touraine Est Vallées community. As a facilitating partner, CCTEV supports local citizen initiatives to reduce consumption and promote a more sustainable lifestyle.
