Collective Intelligence Training
The LIFE_LETsGO4Climate project has enabled residents of the Centre-Val de Loire region to receive training in collective intelligence, helping them better collaborate with stakeholders they encounter in their professional lives.
Training in “Collective Intelligence” to Build Together
Is my workshop aimed at consultation, discussion, information, or co-decision?How can we facilitate mutual understanding and foster consensual solutions within a group? What methods encourage people to engage sustainably in a network?
These are just some of the many questions addressed in the LIFE_LETsGO4Climate training sessions. From May to July, three sessions were held in Orléans and Tours, each welcoming different groups of participants.
Local government employees and elected officials involved in the project were invited to participate. Additionally, some citizens engaged in energy transition initiatives also took part.
The three-day training sessions, filled with practical exercises based on real-world challenges faced by the participants, were led by the cooperative Les vigies.

The diversity of participants—government employees, elected officials, and engaged citizens—encouraged valuable exchanges and rich feedback during this second training session in Tours.
Collective intelligence and energy transition—what’s the connection?
At the heart of the LIFE_LETsGO4Climate project lies the ambition to build consensus around energy production and consumption. The reality is that past and current projects have sometimes faced local opposition. The challenge is to bring local governments, residents, and economic stakeholders together to co-create projects that foster strong local support.
The participants in the training now have a key role to play in the LIFE_LETsGO4Climate project. They will be able to apply their learning to drive the initiative forward in the territories involved. And the next step is coming soon! Starting in October, a series of four workshops will be launched in each partner community. By using collective intelligence methods, these sessions will bring out the best contributions from the group of 100 participating residents.
It is likely that you, too, in your professional life, are required to lead group discussions and manage complex stakeholder relationships. This training is also available in ADEME’s catalog and is open to project managers from the France Rénov’ network, as well as specialists in circular economy, climate, air and energy, sustainable mobility, industrial ecology, and sustainable food initiatives.
