Tuesday, 4 February 2025

The Blois Autopartage association, founded in early 2023 as a result of the citizen workshops LIFE_LETsGO4Climate, has launched its car-sharing project in the city of Blois. The collective has organized itself to offer this service , meeting the growing demand for flexible and sustainable mobility solutions.

Usage Report from July to December 2024:

At the beginning of 2025, Hélène Chatelier, president of the association, appeared on the “Carnets de Campagne” program on France Inter to talk about the service.

Future Prospects

A second car available

A second car will be available by spring, thanks to the call for expressions of interest (AMI) for two car-sharing spaces on public roads, launched by the city of Blois and awarded to Citiz in December.

This second vehicle will be of the same category but will have a manual transmission this time. Both vehicles will be highly visible and easily accessible—the first one will remain near the train station, while the second will be located at Halle aux Grains.

Car sharing in Orléans?

A survey was conducted in January to assess interest in expanding the service to Orléans, given that Citiz is already present in 220 cities, including Blois and Tours in the Centre-Val de Loire region (see https://citiz.coop). The results are currently being analyzed—stay tuned for updates!
