Having spread for over 15 years in the United Kingdom, Carbon Conversations is an innovative and recognized method for supporting change in small groups, helping individuals transition to a lower-carbon lifestyle, meaning less greenhouse gas emissions.

The training enables a pair of future facilitators to acquire the necessary skills and expertise to guide the change process and locally facilitate Carbon Conversations cycles. In an action-oriented training approach, the program includes in-person training days and the facilitation of the first group, with facilitators being supported from the preparation phase onward and receiving mentoring.

As part of the LIFE_LETsGO4Climate project, the goal is to train a large number of local facilitators for Carbon Conversations at no cost, empowering them to facilitate Carbon Conversations cycles with residents in their territory and their networks. The aim is to foster a real territorial dynamic around individual behavior change.

The LIFE_LETsGO4Climate project supports the holding of facilitator training sessions for Carbon Conversations in the partner territories of the project. The training costs for facilitators are covered, in exchange for committing to facilitate three cycles of Carbon Conversations over three years, free of charge.

This call for applications invites 5 to 10 willing organizations to commit to deploying Carbon Conversations in the LIFE_LETsGO4Climate project’s partner territories by participating in the first inter-organization facilitator training session.

Here is the first video in a series that will immerse you in the Carbon Conversations experience. Christophe and Carine Dewaele answer our questions about “Carbon Conversations”: What is it? Why become a facilitator? How do Carbon Conversations fit within my organization? These are just a few of the questions that will help you better understand the topic.
