Friday, 7 February 2025

An essential annual event for stakeholders engaged in the energy transition of territories, the European Energy Transition Forum attracts more than 3,500 participants each year (local authorities, scientists and experts in ecological transition, economic and associative actors, students) for 3 days of debates and networking.
The forum took place in Dunkirk, from September 10 to 12, 2024.

assises thématiques

Catherine Guimard (ADEME), Raphael MERCEY (Énergie Partagée), Jérémie GODET (Vice-President of the Centre-Val de Loire Region), and Hélène Chatelier (a participant in the project workshops and member of the citizen collective “Blois Autopartage”) presented the project in the form of a testimonial workshop titled “An Incubator for Citizen Ownership of the Energy Transition and the Emergence of Local Energy Communities.”

Program :

  • Overview of training for elected officials of the territories, introduction to collective intelligence, the Cabaret des Métamorphoses shows, citizen workshops, and support from a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Testimony from Jérémie Godet: The emergence of the LIFE project, its initial results, and its impact on the territories, citizens, and the Region.
  • Testimony from Hélène Chatelier: A story of her participation in actions aimed at creating connections between citizens in the territory and the outcome a year later with the creation of a collective around mobility.
  • Q&A session.

This workshop was a great success, with a full room (almost 50 people) and, most notably, many questions and a strong interest from the territories present in replicating the project.
